How to Fix Windows Script Host Error
Fix 1: Repair VBS script file
The first thing to do is restore the.VBS file to its default values. This is done through Registry Editor. So make sure you have a backup of your entire computer before editing the registry.
- Open Registry Editor (type regedit in the search box and open the result you need) and navigate to Computer \ HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ VBS.
- In the right pane, double-click the default and change the value data to VBS file.
- Click OK and restart your computer. Everything should return to normal.
Fix 2: Fix Registry
Although the above fixes include the registry, many Windows script host error windows can occur due to other registry problems. The easiest way to do this is to run a reliable registry repair tool and let it fix any problems.
Fix 3: Repair Internet Explorer
If you encounter a Windows Script Host error when using Internet Explorer, do the following:
